Question:
I'm starting Junior College classes in August and I wonder if there's anything I should or could do in the next few months to prepare? Books, websites, activities?
Answers:
Wat does ABLS stand for in a truck?
I am currently in a junior college class for small engines and motorcycle maintenance and I think the best thing you can do to prepare yourself is check out www.howstuffworks.com and read up on how an engine works and then go down the list of components. This site will help you get a good grip on the objective of the components of the engine. Then once you're in school you can go into the subject a bit deeper.
I bought a Hypertech tuner for my '97 truck. They recommend premium fuel. Can't I use Regular??
You could also get a job in a small engines shop. There's plenty of shops that will hire you with no experience because the field is that in demand. So you'll get hands on training and experience and get paid for it. Just remember to go back to school because that's where you learn the little details that might take you 20 or so years to accumulate on your own.
What is the minimum charge for MOT?
I never took the class, but you should look up info on the net, pertaining to books. And for hands on, i would go to a mechanic and see if they will let you watch and learn.More Questions & Answers ...
