basic tom toms have only major roads for Europe , I travel frequently around Europe and have only had a problem once with these , but you can download full maps from tom toms web site (at a cost) you can also get speed camera details again for extra charge

If you have the TomTom Europe the mapping is pretty detailed. It even navigated round the car parks on the E40 service areas, and showed full detail in a small village in Germany.
