Why do people use license plate frames from the dealerships they got their cars from?

Question:
Why advertise for them unless the car was free or heavily discounted? I understand if the car was bought used and had state issued plates already on and the owner didn't bother removing whatever was already on.

SEMA Show??

What I don't understand is when people do that with brand new cars. That kinda thing requires someone to actually go through the trouble of putting the advertisment plate on once they get their tags from the state. I dont get it.

In Washington DC, I saw people turn the lights of their cars on in the morning, why?!?

What is the best kind of car?

Most dealers put the tag frames on the car. They also either get the tags for the customer, or in some states, may be authorized to issue regular tags. In either case, the dealership will put the tags on the car, and install the tag frames at that time.

Honda Question?

Most people do not go through the trouble to remove them.

does anyone else notice that people who drive SUV's are crazy?

As a side note, a dealer in my area would put the tag frames on any car that was brought to them for service. They got some seriously bad press when a customer charged them with theft, because they replaced the tag frame from another dealer! The customer demanded that they replace the tag frames that were on the car, and they had already disposed of them. The customer filed criminal theft charges!

Yes, they do that to try to advertise their dealership..... I make sure to remove any stupid names they put on the vehicles, or their 50cent stickers too.
