I think your in the same problems as me! I was coming home from a Friends house and the light turned amber. thought if i stopped i would over run and then land up in middle of junctions so carried on, but it turned red just before i went over the line and i saw the thing flash, but only once! There was a police car flashing its bright blue light right behind me at the traffic lights and I got so distracted by it, I honestly didn't see the lights changing and they literally just went red as my back tyres crossed the line. I was only travelling at about 14 mph and I wrote a letter of appeal, but they still went ahead and penalised me!
