i live here in So. California and i was just curious what the requirements are to take a test drive at a car dealer. like, the minimum age? credit card or something? i just dont want to go in an get rejected like a fool.

Here in Georgia, you just need a driver's license and if you're under 18 I think, you need an adult with you. I guess it's the same for California but I'm not sure.

Legal drivers license , proof of insurance , and some places may ask your parents to go/come a long if your not 18 yet ( because of legality on contracts for someone under 18 ). Usually , you'll leave a copy of your insurance/license at the dealership (they'll make the copy there for you ) while you're on the test drive . This is in case there is a problem (accident , etc) while you are on the drive and they give you the copies back when you are back.More Questions & Answers ...
