Question:
4 weeks ago I made the stupid mistake of driving on a Sunday morning after heavy session of drinking the night before. I thought all of the alcohol would have been out of my system but I didn't finish drinking until 3am and I slept and then drove home at around 9am so it was very dumb. I was breathalysed and subsequently banned for 15 months. It was my 1st offence. I have worked hard for a good career and have a BA(Hons) and an MBA and was due for an final interview for a consultancy position at a big 4 firm. I have had to postpone it but i can go in at the same stage at a later date and my current employer (a blue chip) has been excellent about it and allowed me to keep my job. I am 28 and the conviction won't be 'unspent' for 5 years so i will have to declare it until then and can't hire a car. I am just wondering what Big 4 employers, e.g. Accenture, CapGemini, Ernst & Young etc think of a conviction like this and whether it would mean I am ineligible for employment with them?

How old do i have to be to legally drive alone in california?
I, by coincidence, have worked for the 3 companies you have mentioned (not a consultant though) and would say you should be up front and honest about it at the interview stage.Gears? does anyone use top gear all time?
Unfortunately you will be expected to spend time at client sites which might be tricky without a car, athough not impossile, just a hassle for you.

If job involves,or may involve driving, then forget it untill ban is over.A-plan price for a 08 king ranch diesel?
Conviction should not prevent employment after ban is over but they might see you as less reliable than someone without a ban.
IS having ZERO points on your driving record good if you want to get a job as a DRIVER?
tell us if you where an employer ,would you employ some guy who drove when intoxicated, which you were or the reading would not of said so, so what is to say you will not do it again, next time with more serious effect like an accident killing someone, and do not say it did not cross your mind not to drive that morning, as you state (I have worked hard for a good career and have a BA(Hons) and an MBA and was)so you are not stuppid, only act stuppid, I for one would not employ you,
