How do you increase the boost on a 04 1.8t vw passat?

Question:
is there also a way to do it manualy without a computer chip replacement?

Answers:

Does the thought of your car breaking down while driving across the country make you apprehensive?

Don't know much about those things, but if they have a vacuum-operated wastegate actuator, you should be able to get a manual boost controller somewhere that you splice inline in the vac line going to the actuator, and that will allow you to adjust the boost (that's what I have on my Thunderbird, it was $45)

In engine sizes what does CC mean?

1.8...ouch. Add an extra hamster and wheel.
