The more important concern is how it was maintained. A well maintained car can easily last 200,000+ miles. I have always liked Neons. They are roomy with good brakes, handling and power - especially with the manual transmission. It is true that Neons do depreciate rapidly. This is a good thing for you the buyer, not so good for the seller. If it has been well maintained, $2,000.00 is not a bad price.
