For a time I drove a gasoline tanker. This is ABSOLUTELY true. I would be in line with trucks from many different brand name companies. When we load, a computer in the control room would inject each companies dyes, and additives (which were basically all the same). Can't say. I do know that in my home town the same gas delivery trucks delivered to several different brand name stations.wouldnt surprise me, i know lots of other things are done in the same manner, all mfg by 1 co, just packaged and labeled for others and shipped back to them for distribution

Pipelines from refineries are limited. One company uses it for a while and then another done. Primarily the difference from one brand to another is the type of additives they put in after it comes out of the pipeline.DeLorean Motor Company coming back?
This is exactly true where I live. The gas comes into port by ship. The different companies do not have their own storage tanks. They put their gas into shared tanks. Then the indivual companies then send a truck to be filled up out the tank which is by then a generic mix of all the oil companies. So it is always worth a bit of a laugh when you see advertising claimimg a company has the most powerful or cleanest burning fuel etc.
pretty much yes. I can't say I know of where to find maps for them but there are large pipelines running all over the u.s. and all the refineries put into them at one end and then take out equal amounts at the other end, then add the fillers like octane booster 87 89 or 93 level some states allow more alcohol than others.
