Air temperature guage in car?

Question:
how does the outside air temperature guage on a car. As I am familiar with wind chill factor, how can a guage read say 60 degrees when the wind chill factor at 65 mph would cause it to read lower.

Answers:

I have just got a navy blue KA. Would pink interior styling look weird?

Wind chill does not effect inatimate objects. It is a subjective measurement of what the temp FEELS like to living creatures like us. Think about a thermometer outside reading 20 degrees.
It does not change if it is windy. The air temp remains at 20 degrees. Now if you were standing out there the wind chill would effect you.
