Question:
I recently got a stickshift car (2001 Altima) I know how to drive it, and I know the fundamentals of driving a manual transmission car (downshifting, engine breaking, double clutching etc.). I have one problem though, when I am in first gear, and shift into second gear the car kind of slows down, it isn't violent or anything, but I would like the shift to be a little smoother. If I want to accelerate really fast, it slows me down. I don't what the problem is, is it me? Maybe I'm not shifting fast enough, but I do shift pretty fast. Is it the car? I don't know every thing is fine with the car. Please help.

Which is better high gas mileage or low mileage?
you need to get the feel of it and really pay attention when you are shifting. How do I take the tinting of my car windows myself?
you will get used to it with practice, i used to just rev the engine a little bit as i let the clutch out. now i dont even use the clutch (other then starting and stopping)Does anyone know of any Gas dicount coupons or cards?
You just don't think about it. After a while it just becomes automatic. You learn to raise and lower the accelerator at the right time and never even feel the shift.Property taxes verses VIN numbers.?
The problem is you're not giving it enough gas when you let out the clutch. Try just a little more. It takes some getting used to, so practice for a while and you'll get better. How many times can you take the behind the wheel test in one year?
you have to let out the clutch in even unis ion to pressing down on the acceleratorthe more you shift gears the smoother you will get.Its just getting the feel for it.all cars are different
Does anyone know what the head lights in the cars are called that are blue color and bright as hell?
PRACTICE. Let the clutch out a little slower, too fast causes the jerk when it grabs. Every vehicle is different and even us veterans have to sometimes re-learn a new vehicle. No need to double declutch on synchromesh gear boxes. If you want to accelerate fast, then hit the red,dip clutch quickly and knock it up one, just take a few or no revs off, your clutch won't last long though. For smooth driving, practise makes perfect, when changing up normally, take foot of gas,dip clutch and go into next higher gear all in one movement, changing down, dip clutch, touch the gas slightly, that's so the engine doesn't slow you too fast, and slip into lower gear all at same time. Won't take long, you'll soon get used to it
Is it wise to buy a car with 185k miles?
I can't understand how you can pass your test in an automatic, then drive a car with gear lever, thought they were two seperate licences
