Is it true that the more weight a car holds the more gas it burns?

Question:

Answers:

how does push button to start cars work?

yes, it is very true. just like in the movies when the planes are low on fuel they begin dumping cargo. it's like running a mile and then trying to run with a 40lb back pack...the run with the back pack wears you down a lot faster because its taking more energy to haul the extra load. The size of the engine dosen't matter! That vehicle was manufactured with all this already in mind, they gave you an economical engine for that car size. Adding more weight than your engine already carries is strain which equals poor gas mileage...its common sense.(refering to below)

What do you drive?

Yes it is true, but it also involves the size of the engine and the efficiency of the vehicle. In general yes.
