Jeep Wrangler, Doors off on STREET Years Legal?

On late model Jeep Wranglers It is legal to have the doors off on the street. On new/newer ones it is illegal. So I need to know how old It needs to be for me to legally drive it on the street with the doors off.

What makes it illegal is the mirrors are attached to the door. You can take the doors off any vehicle and drive it legally. How ever you have to have rear veiw mirrors. You can but bolt on brackets that will bolt onto the windshield hinge or where the pin from the door goes into the door hinge.

I drive mine without doors. Just make sure that you buy the attachment for the side mirrors. The newer models have the side mirrors on the doors so you have to remove them, buy the attachments and attach them to the jeep. You need the side mirrors to drive on the street.
