Which would be a regular reliable car?

Would you tell me what type of car would be the best to use for a regular reliable inexpensive car? (a car that doesn't eat up the gas too fast, a car that is inexpensive to repair)

I would say honda or toyota.. I know people with both. More so honda. They hardly have any problems with them and they are great on gas. They're small but oh well. They are extremely reliable too. I don't even think they have much breakdown history and I know the motors go way beyond 100,000 before they die. i've heard they go into 120,000. That's a lot.
Look in a copy of Consumer Reports Car Buyers Guide. They tell you the years of the cars for about 7 or 10 years back. You can see what they are known for as far as break downs and recalls. It's a fantastic book. Well worth the money.
