Would you like speed cameras removed in Britain?
Back when- cars were made to last. Today, we live in a disposable society. Trade it off when it needs vacuumed...You can't work on them yourself- even if it's simple- there's no room even for my girl hands. I'll take my '66 Cadillac, '53 Chevy, '69 Camaro- any day. 2 people could fit comfortably under the hood of my Bel Aire Coupe- which was good, since anytime I popped the hood- other motorists would screech to a halt to see if they could help.
There was something beautiful about taking ownership of your vehicle then- now, not so much as long as you got credit...
what should you look for in a radar/ laser detector?
as a profession tech i dont think the repairs have gone up as much as the neglect by the owner, people are going so far for so long between having ANYONE qualified even openng the hood that repairs (as opposed) to maintenance are inevitable.MAINTENANCE IS THE KEY
which states require a special permit to haul distilled liquor over the road?
Cars are way more complex now. The number of moving parts in a vehicle from the 1960's was pretty minimal. Safety regulations (and consumer demand) have caused today's vehicles to have a lot more parts...and thus a lot more that can go wrong with the vehicle. An interesting, related aside....gas mileage has pretty much remained the same since the 1960's. The engines are way more efficient than they were back then, but the cars weigh more because of all the required safety features and bells and whistles.
