If you want my honest opinion, these schools really are just to get your foot in the door! The bike shops I frequent at talk badly about the graduates from these schools, because there really isn't any "real world" experience that is demonstrated. I had another shop tell me that the last UTI grad they had couldn't perform any of the work, because the classroom just showed them basically how to assemble and disassemble a brand new engine.
It is basically a toss up between which school you would rather go to, and the classes aren't cheap. When I applied at MMI (the motorcycle division of UTI), the 9 month course would've run me a little over 17,000.00 up front! For the UTI courses here in Houston, they can run between 18K-26K, depending on the electives you choose. UTI will not allow you to talk to the financial aid department until you sign the contract saying you owe them the full amount of the class, whether you attend it or not!
Personally, I would go to a smaller mechanics shop, work with them for a few years. This guy will pay for you to get your ASE certs...this is what counts in the real world of mechanics!

my dad and i went to wyotech together it cost 50K for the both of us but that was just because of the classes we took. at wyotech the cost depends upon the class. but as for which one i would advise wyotech, the instructors are nice, they will work with you if you need it, but if you dont pay attention you are gone with no refund. and you can build anything you want as long as youve got the money to pay for it. we (dad and i) built a '97 pro-mod cavelier with a custom designed tube chassis.
