Locate the "CODE" button on the pad and press it. Make sure the ignition is on with engine off. Then locate the buttons for the numbers: 1000, 100, 10, 1. 1000 represents the first digit, 100 represents the second digit, etc.. To select a 5 for your first digit, you would press the "1000" button 5 times. Select your 4 digit code and press "SET". Then turn off the key. Once you turn on the key again, you would be prompted to enter the 4 digit code. Be sure to select a number that you can easily remember, or else...... To deactivate the code, go through the same procedure you did to set it.
