When they turn left they have more room to turn(cause of other lanes to cross). On right hand turns they are close to the crub and have to sway out to the left or into on coming lanes of traffic into the lane they are turning into. Because left turns are already wide. When turning right you have to make a very sharp turn because you are hugging the curb, and semis are too big to turn tight enough. When turning left you go across the entire intersection, so a tight turn isn't necessary, thus there is no warning about how they can't make tight left turns--because there aren't any.which one is better? IT HAS TO MAKE WIDE RIGHT TURNS BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE MOST CURBS ARE LIGHT POLE ETC THAT IS NOT TRUE OF MOST LEFT TURNS.In addition to what everyone else has said, when making a LEFT hand turn the driver is able to look out his side window and see where the trailer is "tracking". but on a RIGHT hand turn, even with his legal mirrors, his vision is obscured by the trailer. Making a wider arc is just an added safety maneuver to avoid hitting anything.
