Can someon explain to me why car dealers ex( Chevy, ford, Dodge, Nissan, And Honda) addvertise so much. i know that 1 spot during prime time tv cost millions and we may see 2 different advertisments from the same maker in one group of advertisments, does this effect how much the cars have gone up in price over the past several years. If so why do they do it. If not can some one help me as far as telling me why vehicles are so expensive. Thanks

Actually cars have risen in price slower that the price of gasoline.
in 1960 Ford's cheapest model went for about $2000. Now it's about $10,000. That's a 5 times increase.
Gas was 25 cents a gallon then. Now it's $2.50, a 10 times increase.
