With older models, you can use a wire clothes hanger. Untwist it, and unfold it, so that it's a long stick...Bend the end of it so that it can grab ahold of your lock mechanism. Stick the hanger in between the window and the rubber flange, and work it until the hooked end is around the lock mechanism...pull up until you've pulled the lock up.
