FOOD FOR THOUGHT: when driving, how many times do you think to write down the license plate info on the car in front of you as opposed to it being plastered on a screen with a "check me out" sign attached to it.

Not really. Just be sure that you don't include too much of your personal information in your postings. People see plates all the time when driving...no big deal. They can't get any info from your plates unless they work at the DMV.1990 z24 accessories and info?

i dont really see any problem. every car has its unique number and VIN codeWhat would you rather drive, a 2000 KIA Sephia or a 1997 Cadillac Seville or Eldorado?
its not a smart idea. but i have done it in the past. If its a nice car (ie Dodge Viper) i would cover up the plate or just take pictures without the plate showing. if its a POS or something that is on everyother street corner (ie, Civic) i really wouldn't worry about it.but there are people out there who do want to screw you, so i would be safe and cover the plate up.

Like your phone number, e-mail address, and birthday, you license plate is a personal identifier. It could therefore be used in identity theft. For example, someone who otherwise has no access to your information, might have access to a DMV dataset and be able to use that combined with your profile on the posted website to create a false identity of you for an online credit card. When does the next design Alabama license plate is release?

Not dangerous but best to blur it out people will steal anything,Theoretically, your address can be traced from your plates. If I were you, I'd blur the plates out before posting a picture of your vehicle online - it's an easy safety precaution, and might save you from losing the car.

I dont think your identity can actually be stolen via your license plate, however, if your page tracks unwanted desperate suitors you probably wouldn't want to motivate them to look for you. If the car is registered to you and your current address, I imagine its possible. Of course, that assumes someone is interested in stalking you, but how do you ever really know what motivates people, even seemingly uninteresting blogs about everyday life or a picture here and there. What is the perfect sedan for the future?
I can tell you from personal experience, my 360 page had my picture and my university on it, and some guy threatened to come up on campus to look for me. I didn't feel threated since i'd already graduated from there and was no longer on campus, but the point is who's to say what people are willing to do if you provide them information that can actually be linked to you. Friend of a friend working at the DMV....anything. Its much easier to blurr it as someone has said, because you just never know.
