Question:
We went to get oil change for our car today at Jiffy Lube, and lucky for us, no one was there, so it barely took 15 minutes. The guy who took our information was super nice, informative, and overall, I was extremely satisfied and thought every penny I paid was worth it. But when I left, I noticed all the mechanics went inside and sit while I was paying for my service, instead of sitting outside like how I saw them when I came. So as I left, I realized they may have sat near me waiting for some tips. But I have never heard of tipping mechanics. Those of you who goes to Jiffy Lube, do you tip your mechanics? How about other car service places?
Answers:
I was at a local wrecking yard, and had an attendant pull a part I needed (that I couldn't get off). The person I was with attempted to tip the people working on the car, and they very politely refused.
In a word, no. Unlike waitresses and hair stylists, mechanics typically make a salary much higher than the minimum, and thus are well compensated for their work. (The people working a Jiffy Lube may be a different case, however.) A simple thank you to this particular worker, along with--optionally--a letter to his manager or corporate headquarters telling how super nice this person was (be sure to get his name) would suffice.
where is the sending unit for the fuel gauge for a 98 F150?
No. They are skilled workers and paid well for what they do.More Questions & Answers ...
