LPG may be cheaper but you get fewer miles per gallon. It's only marginally fewer, still enough to save you money but once you have factored in the cost of the conversion the benefit is slim.
Another problem is: where to put the tank? It either uses all your boot space or the space where the spare tyre lives, in which case it's either an inflatable foam or RAC job.
