Boy did you ask a loaded question. It really depends upon your criteria. But I think Toyota does make better cars. They are known for thier reliability and performance. I am not going by car magazines on this. I know a lot of people swear by them. Toyota still has issues like everyone else. They just make thier cars better.
But that of course is cars. Sorry but GM and Ford have toyota beat on trucks. I agree Toyota makes a nice truck but they have a problem with living up to most truck owners expectations. I hope the reintroduction of thier problem plagued tundra changes that. Yes the Tundra has issues.
Out of Ford and GM though I will go with Ford as long as it is not a diesel. Ford does make a good truck and it does the job well.
Go to any construction site and look all you see are trucks from the big three. That should tell you something right there.

Toyota. They are generally still on the road long after a GM, or a Ford is in the junk yard waiting to become something else. A high mileage Toyota is worth more than an equivalent GM, or Ford. This is proven out on a daily basis. Check any of the blue book listings to see.

It completely depends. If you want to look at the average toyota, gm, and ford car, GM wins by far. Toyota cars are usually cheap lil things that fall apart but get good mpg. Fords are ugly, pieces of crap. GM cars, such as any pontiac, look a lot sleaker and arent as cheap. But if you look at the nicest cars made by the company, i think ford gets the upper hand. GT40, any jaguar, cobra, mustang.
