'06 WRX or '06 Toyota X-Runner?

It does depend on what you want, where you live, and what you're going to be doing with the car. Personally, I would get a WRX because I'm not a truck guy. In addition, with the WRX you're going to be getting all-wheel-drive, a middle seat, better handling, and (probably) a better safety rating....I know the imprezas score extremely well...not sure about the Tacoma.

stop lights....are they on a timer? are they equipt with sensors?

Ultimately, though the X-runner is all "sporty" and all, it still is a truck platform trying its best to provide sports car handling. On the other hand the WRX is a proper sports car platform which is trying to be more of a sedan. So if you think you're going to be using the car to do more work......get the truck......if you think you're going to use the car for more serious driving.....get the wrx.
