If you never let your car warm up at all, even on the coldest winter mornings...?

Question:
Will it increase wear on the cylinder walls, thus reducing compression and increasing oil consumption?

Answers:

Sport sedan?

Hi, There are many other reasons why a car should be warmed up and a couple that are more important. When it is cold oil is thicker. When you crank a car and drive away the oil can not lubricate properly and this puts wear on all of the engine parts including the botton of the pistons that can cause wear on the cylinder walls..etc. There are a lot of parts that depend on the oil being "slung" on them to lubricate and thick oil does not do this very easy. The timing chain, if equipped, is one. A cold engine gets worse fuel milage for more than one reason also.

Is "advanced driving" really so advanced, or is it just basic drivng without silly mistakes?

It really does affect your vehicle in the long run, however if you dont live in an area where morning temps are constantly -10 everymorning and you dont have a block heater, I wouldnt worry about it too much.

From which car manufacturer does the car Yaris come from?

Yes !
The US army tested it years ago. They warmed up half their cars before driving & the other half they drove it right away after starting. They found that cars who sat for 3-5 minutes to warm up had longer engine life & less trouble.
It is better to start, let it warm up for few minutes, then drive slow till the engine is well oiled & warmed.
That is one of the reasons why some people screw up their cars & wonder why ? The same type of car, 2 different owners, one has over 100k miles & never seen a repair shop. The other has 10k miles & the repair shop gave her a name Molly allready...haha

5th Wheel Towing Capacity???

Yes! Next question? If you don't let the oil circulate and lube the walls of the piston. It will wear the piston rings down and oil will leak around the wore part of the ring.Causing the oil to burn with the gas thus the car will smoke (Blow-Bye)

How to get there?

It depends on what you mean by cold. Spring and fall, and winter days when the temperature is above -15 Centigrade, I just start and go, always have, unless I have to scrape the windows. When it is -30 Centigrade, the car definitely has to warm a few minutes, then drive slow and easy. The engine actually warms up better, and gets better lubrication with a bit of load on it. Take it from me, having lived in Edmonton, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg, and driving since 1965, I have a pretty good idea about cold weather driving.
