Is there a website that has a driving simulator on it?

Question:
Today I had my very first driving lesson, a 2 hour session and I got around 15 mins driving time. I would like to try and get practise that is free of charge on the web while not at lessons. I have a dvd that shows how to drive a car - it also has all the driving tests that you have to do plus has the highway code, and I have a book that you fill in the gaps. Does anyone have any suggesions on what elce I could get to help me in between lessons? Please note that my mum wont allow me to drive her car.

florida learners permit?

There is not a product available for free. However your driving lesson should consisted of more driving. What should happen on your first lesson is for the instructor to drive to a quite place no more than 5-10 mins in journey time (somewhere for you to start so your not bewildered by lots of traffic) and you take control of the car. You will then learn the controls of the car and what each one does ie brake, clutch, indicators etc... this will vary on how much you know already. Once you know where things are then you should then be taught how to safely move away and stop. Some instructors will let you drive around a circuit of roads that form a loop like most housing estates using the junctions for the stopping part, others will simply do it along a straight long road doing short bursts. You wont get it completely but you should beable to grasp the concept of what you are being taught. You might not drive far but it will be you doing the driving. I would expect all this from a 1 hour lesson so a 2 hour lesson i would expect more driving. Also theory will play an important role in your lessons however this should not be more than 5 or so minutes parked up at the side of the road asking you questions. Your instructor should be advising you throughout your lesson on things like the highway code, hazzard perception and explaining the road ahead to you so you can learn from your mistakes. Get yourself an uptodate theory book & cd rom and practice at home it will make driving easier as you will know the rules of the road.
The only way to learn is to practice in a car. One way is for you to buy your own car and have a suitable driver acompany you. or speak to your mum once you have had a few more lessons.

why is neon under the car illegal in CA or the US?

The simulation games are never real enough for learning. To get any thing realistic would cost a fortune. Just persevere with your lesson's, may be Mum will let you use it once you've got more experience.

is it advantageous or disadvantageous using petrol having high octane number such as speed or x-tra premium?

This link should help with parking a little bit. But driving can only be done but practising it for real. Simulations can help u think through what u have to do when driving but only practise and driving a real car can actually help. Good Luck
