We got hit and run by a drunk driver. Doing my own history search on this bum, he has done this twice before. The arresting officer gave me this person's full name, address, DL# license plate number and insurance #. With this info I found out he had two priors. What else can I find out about the guy with this info? I want to know any source of info that can be legally obtained. I'm going after him, he seriously injured my daughter as she was in intensive care, now upgraded to stable. I want this bum. He own a piece of bubble gum and I'm taking it.

Excellent question. Advise your local court house about this situation with all the details, and they will tell you about options to charge this person. Sitting back and taking it is ridiculous and only allows this person to re-offend.Also, a lawyer can track this down for you. Either way sounds like you'll end up in court.
In Canada, I am pretty sure there is no way to obtain information from the internet about a persons driving license. Check to see if your court house has a web-page, punch in the information and see what you get. Check your police department web-page too.

Your daughter would be further ahead if you gave the information to a lawyer. Did the officer give him a ticket? I hope so.Get a lawyer...go to civil court...sue him and make sure the judge has all his priors.
