How can I possibly get out of my car lease?

All wheel drive is when all of the wheels are driven, as in all the wheels have power going to them from the engine. however this term was originally brought out when some military vehicles had 6 wheels (3 axles) and all of the wheels were driven on them.

this is exactly the same as 4 wheel drive, unless you have a car that has 5 driven powered wheels or more than that!

Does anyone like the Maserati Gransport Spyder?

Both are great for winter and snow because 4wheel drive/all wheel drive cars have power to all the wheels and so will grip a LOT more in bad road conditions, ie snow, ice and rain.
Both will be great for the summer too because of the grip that you gain from a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

If people still have a problem with what I said, think about this:
How come subaru vehicles have always been marketed as being "All wheel drive" yet some of the older ones and a new version of the impreza has a differential controller which means it can change between rear wheel drive and 4 wheel drive? This makes the statement "All wheel drive is full-time" complete garbage :)

Why is it that people who have cars and never use public transport are always against?

don't listen to the uneducated first answerer. Four wheel drive requires activation by shifter or button, etc. All Wheel Drive is always on. i've found them both to be about equally as good in rough weather, but i like 4wd better because in the summer you don't need all four wheels.

What is the best website to use to find out answers about cars? (such as horsepower, acceleration, etc.)?

all wheel drive always has the four tires giving power. four wheel drive is optional and u are able to control if it's in two or four wheel drive. personally i don't think there is much of a difference, im guessing that four wheel drive is probably a little bit better.

Why do semi truck drivers leave their engines running while away from their truck?

All wheel drive would be your best bet . Unless you are a serious 4x4 person and want a truck then get all wheel drive. It works only when you need it and in most cars it is automatic not like most 3 wheel drive units where you have to shift it in and out of 4 wheel drive.

how do i build racking inside my transit van?

hi, all wheel drive is exactly as stated, and of course better in the snow and rain as to all tires are grabbing at the same time, not to good in the summer, tends to wear your tires down quickly due to all tires grabbing at the same time and poor gas mileage.
4 wheel drive on the other hand you can control if you can go from 2 wheel drive (rear tires turn and grab) to 4 wheel drive where all four tires will grab but the difference is that its not all time all wheel drive. I hope this helps.

how do you locate a gps or lojack device on your car?

I'm not gonna go into great detail with this issue cuz it's like beating a dead horse... however I will say that Alex doesn't know as much as he thinks, four wheel drive is not the same as all wheel drive. Four wheel drive doesn't allow for differential slippage between the front and rear axles and is not recommended for use on dry surfaces where traction is not an issue.

need HELP!!! 99 Mazda Millenia?

Plain and simple both are great when you need it, snow, ice. However four wheel drive is better in a few ways.
1) you have the option to use it or not.
2) four wheel drive will be better on gas. " when not being used"
3) you dont need all wheel drive in spring, summer and fall.
