when i say efficient, i mean uses the less gas to go the most miles.

Proabably a Lotus Elise. 0-60mph - 4.9 sec, top speed 150mph. 24mpg city/ 29mpg hwy.

if you are worried about gas milage then dont buy a high powered car... go for a hybrid. if you can afford a super car then you will never have to worry about paying for gas

When you are talking High End I think that you are talking about luxury cars, if that is the case the the most fuel efficient high end car that I know of is the Lexus RX Hybrid.
