The more likely cause is that you only use the heated seats on very cold days. Cars will get worse mileage as they warm up and that takes longer on colder days. More significantly, the fluids and lubricants thicken on very cold days and the increased drag will have an effect on fuel economy until they come up to operating temperature, which of course takes longer on colder days.

There is an electric component in your seat it does not use gas. i am not sure what type of Mazda you have but i am guessing if you are using your heated seats it is cold out side so you don't live in a warm state.
