today my husband and i got a parking ticket for being 5 minutes late to the car, despite telling the warden that my husband is dissabled. the warden was rude and aggresive. i asked him how he sleeps at night. i just wondered if any of you maight like them? if so why?

I got towed away for parking on double yellows - cost me £150 and a sharp (and expensive lesson) for breaking the law but at the end of the day they should not be so rude and aggressive but I suppose they are with the abuse they get for upholding the law.

Lets face it, they have a really crappy job but someone has to do it!! Could you imagine what our streets would be like if people were allowed to park anywhere?? It would be chaos!! When I went into a shop to get change he left his 'calling card' on my windscreen. If you park illegally then you should expect a fine. sounds harsh but that's life. Motorists are an easy target.

you've seen the adverts they drink horlicks to help them sleep at night. if i were you i would tell them where to stuff the parking ticket. they are only doing their job but because they have to justify their existance with the number of tickets issued reason and logic go out of the window. i fought one recently in the magistrates court when it was issued to me. the car had broken down and when i left it to call for a tow truck i came back to find a ticket on it. after an adjournment the case was withdrawn by the court.We had these types of bone heads in Corning NY. in years past. Actually speaking for myself I try to be nice to the public, but I've found it often comes back to bite me when I am, so I can understand a somewhat aggressive attitude, especially if you were raising your voice to him. Often times I have allowed someone to take a vehicle on their promise to be back on pay day to pay, and never see them again. Remember, the difference between aggressive and assertive is only one of degree, and depends if you are giving it out or taking it in.

I do try to think that in the course of a days work they must get a lot of grief, abuse and the like and all because we road users are breaking the law and they are doing a job of work. Its no good moaning that we are only trying to do a job when many clearly park on double yellows or double park, overstay our time and all the other excuses that we give as to why we have not moved our vehicle
