Each one will be addressed separately. When you were pulled over the first time, odds are the officer pulled your driving record. They can do that on their screen when they pull you over. Whatever he saw, he issued the ticket whether your record was clean or not up to that point. On the second day, when you were pulled over, they pulled it again. If it was a different officer, he would NOT have seen the prior day's offense. It takes a while for them to post to your driving record through the DMV. Before you go to court, get a copy of your driving record to bring with you so you know what they are seeing. They cost about $15 through the DMV. Neither offense may show up yet if your court date is less than 30 days from when you received the ticket. And be sure you GO TO COURT. If it is your first offense they will usually give this to you. Refer to your clean record if you have to. DRESS NICELY and do not speak unless spoken to. You are legally allowed to do this, you can cite several reasons (work, doctor, etc). You MUST do this in writing. More than likely both tickets will be addressed in on court date. Check your ticket because they probably have a court date set up for both.Keep in mind that your fine is based on how many miles per hr you went over the normal speed limit so the more miles your went over, the higher the ticket will be. You can go to traffic school for one of those tickets of and the other one should get reduce when you appear in court, but good luck with that because if you get a harsh judge he might not be so lenient with fine reduction especially since you got two in one day. I don't agree with your rational. You imply that officers just sit around pulling over lawbreakers who speed yet sit and ignore drug dealers, criminals etc. When was the last time you remember hearing on the news "bank robbery, but no cops showed up, they were conducting a speed trap"? Yes, I know everyone speeds, but that doesnt make it right. Speed limits are in place to protect everyone. I'm sorry, I don't need someone driving 75mph's through my little neighborhood with children playing outside only to be injured by 3000lbs of steel flying down the road. As far as your ticket, the judge should be able to see both, he gets a current driving record. The best thing you can do is to go to court and get court appointed traffic school. It wont count against your lifetime limit and normally the judge will remove both tickets and make you pay a fine in exchange... So no record.

Obviously you weren't driving fast enough if you got caught. Tell the Judge that. If you get pulled over again for speeding and the cop asks you if they're was any reason for doing it..tell him that you heard he's been waiting for you all day so you got here as fast as you could. It's all about choice. Some people, not all, do things they aren't supposed to. The rules are clear and everyone knows them; so when you choose to break them, you are gambling. You lost at gambling, twice. Maybe you learned something from one, or both, of them.

The Judge goes off what the Clerk of Court rules. You stand a better chance if you get them handled by the Clerk of Court before the judge is forced to rule on them. If you have a history of speeding - then you may find yourself paying heavily for screwing up (and getting caught doing it). If your record is clean, and the speed wasn't too bad - you'd be best to pay a lawyer to handle the first one and get it reduced to some minor traffic infraction so that it doesn't affect your insurance. Okay, if I were you, I'd get a traffic lawyer. You'll pay about the same amount to the lawyer as you would to the city for the fines, but the lawyer will be able to keep it from going on your record. I got two tickets in the same year once and I could only keep one from going on my record, so I hired a lawyer, paid him the traffic fine amount, and he talked to the judge. The thing is, you still have to pay the same amount for the fine (in attorney fees) but your insurance rates won't go up.More Questions & Answers ...
