Usually if the car is taken in you can turn in the Title with it, OR if it is just a piece of junk it is not necessary. IF the car is in your name and when it comes time to pay Personal Porperty tax on it, just mark it no longer owned, and provide the info of what you did with it. EX: Sale, Scrap, etc...
