What happened to the water car?

I am aware of Stanley Meyer's car that supposedly ran on water by breaking H2O into hydrogen & oxygen. After his death what happened to his prototype car? Are there any other people successful in building a fully functional prototype? I also already know the history of Brown's gas, electrolisis, and Joe cells so please keep answers about cars that run on water. Thanks!

There are a couple of companies developing cars that run on water. Hydrogen Power International uses aluminum and an environmentally friendly catalyst plus water to create hydrogen-on-demand. They just recently demonstrated their converted 2006 Ford Ranger XL truck in Seattle.
