Which car is better, A dodge Charger or Avenger?

Question:
I'm looking at two cars, and they're both about the same price range. One is the 2008 Dodge Avenger SXT, 2.7 L DOHC 24 V MPI 4spd. auto. The other is a Dodge Charger SE 3.5 L HO 24 V V6 MPI 5 spd auto. I need some help choosing, is the Charger worth an extra $2000? I like them the same visually. Please give some valid reasons, I really need help choosing.

i haven't seen the avenger yet, but id go with the charger, its got a bigger engine and a 5 speed auto tranny. and yes, if you're going to buy a brand new car, you might as well spend a little more and get the best, that way when you go to resell you can get more for it.

I always wanted a Dodge Charger, but I cannot afford it. However, recently I have been watching commericals for the Avenger and I think that would be a nice car too. I think in the end though the Charger is still better. Pick which everyone you like better. Good Luck and congrats on your new car.
