If I were to borrow my neighbors marker plates when I went to get gas, would he get arrested or would I?

Been fueding with my neighbor for quite some time now. He's been doing things to damage some of my things.

I want to know if I were to take his license marker plates off his car and go to the gas station, fill up my car and leave without paying, return the plates back to his car, would the gas station's surveillance camera just take down his marker plate, or would they check it against the car I'm driving and me (in a hooded sweatshirt of course)?

You would be arrested, I would suppose. After all, the vehicle described would be YOURS (right next door!), not your neighbor's. I would imagine that the cameras detect more than just a plate number!

this is not a good thing to do. most service stations have cameras outside. if you want to catch your neighbor damaging your stuff install a hidden camera. that way when he does something you can have him arrested. stealing gas is a federal offense and you can go to prison for it.
