Question:
Will mixing midgrade and high grade gas hurt an automobile's engine? Say like 50 - 50 mix?
Answers:
How much is it to get a cdl class A with air brakes?
Sure. You'll get an octane rating approximately the average of the two ratings assuming a 50-50 mix. (Back in the old days of leaded gas, you could actually get a very much higher octane rating mixing the leaded gas with unleaded, as the octane boosters in the unleaded had a synergistic effect when mixed with the tetraethyl lead. But, leaded fuel is largely a thing of the past...)You won't harm the engine, if the engine is designed to work with fuel of the octane rating in the range of the fuels you're mixing. On many cars, higher octane is just a waste of money -- and if the octane is too high it can lead to carbon buildup in the cylinders.
Is it possible to "drift race" a mid-engine, or rear engine car? Such as a Porsche or a Ferrari?
No to second part of question- mixing will not hurt engine unless you should use only high octane. You can mix grades of gasoline. The pump actually mixes 93 and 87 octane to dispense 89 octane gas.But if your car only needs 87 octane you are wasting money. And at higher altitudes your engine needs lower octane gas than at sea level . check the manual for the grade you should use. What is the biggest size of rim & tire I can put on a 04 Crown Vic?
Sure, but why? Have you checked your manual? If your car requires midgrade, and runs well on it, adding hi-test is a waste of money. If it doesn't run well, because of motor work that maybe increased the compression ration, but a 50-50 mix works, then you have found exactly what your vehicle needs. Years back I did some motor work on one car, and it never ran well on regular again. I mixed hi-test and regular (mid-grade didn't exist at the pumps where I was then) and it purred.yes, and you can even mix ethanol with it i run a 50/50 mix of gas and ethanol in my truck and its a 95 model and it runs better on it that way than strait gas,it don't hurt to mix it,good luck.
Does anyone know of companies that will pay to put their ad on my car?
won't hurt a thing, nor will it provide any benefitMore Questions & Answers ...
