Question:
OK, for my science project i have to build a mouse trap car (stupidest thing i ever had to do)
but heres the catch:
I have to use a victor mousetrap
I can only use one mouse trap
I cant use a kit.
and also it is for distance not for speed. "it can go slow as mollases on a winter day and still get a good grade."

what is the best way to make one?

Does a rich gas-oxygen mixture really reduce CO emission levels?
use heavy wheels with rubber attatched for maximum grippage (i made that word up). Also extend the wheelbase so the tip of the extended trap cant drag or touch, and it will give it better looks and feel. For basic designs look up mousetrap car on image search, some of those will have good ideasWhat have you got hanging from your rear view mirror?
you should sit the mousetrap flat with the wheels under it, like a car, then attach a rod to the part of the trap that swings shut, making a bigger range of movement for it, tie a string on the end of that rod, and wrap it around the axle, then as the mouse trap releases it will make the wheels turn. youll have to experiment because the trap will most likely just spin the wheels, try using heavy wheels.where can i find really cool accessories for my car?
i cant tell you specifically but my dad helped my cousin w/ this project for his physics class. he used cds for the carwheels, rubber stoppers to hold the wheels to the axle (which was a wooden chopstick), & the mousetrap was upside down w/ a switch. you just had to flip the switch & the mousetrap would turn upside down & start rolling =] there was no base or body for the car either, just the mousetrapMore Questions & Answers ...
