Mag wheels?

how do i tell if my car has mag wheels? they look like mag wheels but i have heard that this doesnt nessacerilly mean they are. i heard you can get fake mag wheels which look like mag wheels but arent really mag wheels. so how do i tell if they are mags?

I believe the word "mag" is in reference to magnesium the metal. A common misconception is that it refers to the heavy spokes a wheel might have. Magnesium is a silver colored metal. and it burns very hot that is why they are not used very commonly for obvious reasons. I think some of the mustangs in the late 70's had them. Hope this helps.

Do you mean real magnesium wheels? They're extremely expensive, extremely flammable, and extremely rare.
