Why doesn't gas slosh around in the tank? Are there baffles?
most modern transmissions are 4 speeds.(some have more gears than others) d1 uses all of the gears, d2 will cut out the final gear. works like gears on a bike. i find i always use d1. d2 would be more beneficial if you'll be driving slower speeds constantly. What happened when your car was broken into and what did they steal?
they are for the snow and stuff... your car goes kinda slower when you are 2 and a lot slower when your in 1... if there is ice or anything you can use themWhat is the difference between 4-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed manual transmission?
you can try it anytime just to see how it is, it wont hurt your car
Hi i am good at designing cars and i want 2 know whether i can be a professionalin designing cars ?
Those are the different gears for the transmission. The easiest way to describe it is like on a manual transmission. The D1=1st, D2=2nd, D=3rd, OD=4th. Most cars have a button for the OD. Generally you want to keep OD on. This is for a 4 speed auto. You can shift the gears just like you can in a manual but if you leave it in D you will go through all of the gears. If you leave it in D1 your car won't shift out of 1st.Next time you drive start in D1 and as you speed up shift it up one and you will feel the car shift into the new gear.
Has anyone got a parking ticket from the faraday retail park in Coatbridge?
The most common type of automatic transmissions in a 80's+ car is a four of five speed. If you're shifting display shows D1,D2 and then a D is your highest gear.If you look at a automatic is like a standard,if you put you're car in D1 it will stay in first gear until "you"shift it manually in to D2.D1 being a higher gear ratio it will top out at a lower rpm and so on.If you have overdrive it would be shown as a D with a circle around it.From the sounds of it you have an automatic overdrive and that would be in the D.The whole pint in having the D1,D2, and sometimes D3 is if you use it like a standard car it is a lot easier on the transmission. My advise would be not to drive you're car over 60km an hour in D2,if the car is reving too much then don't accede 50km an hour it is different for every car.To make your trans last longer only put it in overdrive when you reach or are about to exceed 80km an hour.More Questions & Answers ...
