take a glass of conteminated diesel and dip iron rod pre heated and smell the fumes if the smell is like that of kerosine it means that the fuel is contimenated.it really depends on what got contaminated.......Smell is the best...kero is white..most diesel is pink and gas is yellow

What's the worry? Kerosene is used during the winter to keep diesel from gelling. Gelled fuel will not flow through the lines. Mixing gas with diesel is harder on the engine than kero.More Questions & Answers ...
