200r4 vs 700r4 trans?

Question:
i am re doing a 66 gmc pickup that will have a 283 almost stock motor and the rear end gear ratio is 3:73 it will be driven for by my son in town .which transmission will suit me better.the truck will not be used for hauling or towing.

if you really have to have an O.D. - the 700r4 is a better trans. than the 200r4 ,however , a 4L60e would be a better choice - more expensive but it is basically a 700r4 that is controlled by the computer.
