Can you help me with my Driver's Ed project?
most big trucks you dont need to use clutch to shift.. i dont know what a clutch brake is thoughis a 1977 lincoln continental front or rear wheel drive?
A clutch brake activates when the clutch is pushed in all the way. The reason for it and what it's braking is the transmission, when the truck is not moving you need to stop the transmission from turning so you can put it in gear, otherwise it will grind like heck. You technically should be double clutching but never push the pedal to the floor while the truck is moving or you will burn out the brake. When shifting all you need is enough clutch to break the tourqe. What happens if a car dealership damages your car while "repairing it".?
