Isn't it ironic that folks who think they are adept at 'handling' SUV's...?

Question:
Is it ironic that people who think they can drive large SUV's and trucks have NO idea how to drive a manual transmission vehicle?

Is there anywhere i can watch lost season 2 for free on line?

Maybe it's just me, but this is kind of humorous. These big tough guys/gals driving big SUV's around like they are working on a construction site, yet they can't handle a clutch and a six inch high stick...

In Britain, it's only really physically disabled people who learn to drive in an automatic. In this country an automatic gearbox is an expensive extra on a car.

Do all diesels have turbos stock?

I have the best of both worlds. I drive a Ranger with the Mazda M5OD Transmission. Its not a huge truck, but its bigger then most of the cars on the road today. I know where each corner is at all times. I can pull up or back up to be within a half inch of the object i'm pulling in/backing up to, without hitting it, ever. Also, my stick is closer to a foot tall, and its a long stroke setup. I'm not a big guy either, I'm tall, but thats about it.

Permit question?

It's not really ironic. Some car mechanics don't know the first thing about how to operate an automatic electric dishwasher or an all electronic panel clothes washer. I find that weird.

Also keep in mind that it ISN'T easy to learn how to drive a manual transmission vehicle for the first time. I remember what I went through when my dad taught me to drive one, and I'm surprised he didn't have a cardiac arrest.

Does anyone know of any good junk yards in connecticut?

That makes absolutely no sense at all. That's like saying a Lineman sucks at football because he isn't good at playing quarterback or wide receiver. Driving a manual transmission has nothing to do with how good of a driver you are OR if you "deserve" to be driving the vehicle you are. Nowadays, you can get more performance out of a good automatic transmission than you can a standard. The only advantage of manual transmissions is that they can generally handle more power. I don't know about you, but I can't shift any car as fast as a computer can. It seems to me that you're trying to make fun of the attitudes that alot SUV drivers have and that they don't use the vehicles to their full capabilities, but it seems to me that you're jealous. You made an ignorant statement.
