Does anyone know of a van hire company where I could hire it for one day picking up in one town...?

Question:
and dropping it off in another?

Answers:

Where are the lowriders?

I don't really know which the good ones are, but a lot of companys do One Way Rental, and that is what you need to look for them to be advertising. It will likely cost you more, but the One Way Rental scheme thing is basically that you pick the van up, then they collect it from somewhere that you have already agreed, often another branch of theirs. This is the reason that it is usually the biggger companies that do it, but, you may find that the smaller companies may do it to. My best suggestion is to call them up and ask about One Way Hire.

I think a few of the major UK hire companies will do this. Try Avis, National or Adeva.
