Question:
I've already asked this, but none of the previous answers were enough to get a tire with. I thought I'd get better results if I described the tire better.
I'm making a fullscale replica of a vehicle, and it needs a set of wheels/tires.
Here's a rough draft diagram of the wheel (cutaway), along with dimensions on it..

so i got a ticket yesterday....?
The dimensions shown are "absolute values", but there's leeway in choosing something that's close, feel free to round them off.
Do alloy wheels allow for better gas mileage and/or more horsepower than steel, in automobiles?
I recognize that a tire/wheel of these exact specifications is not likely to exist. I can't do a custom tire/wheel, so I'm trying to get as close as possible. I suspect there might be something out there in terms of construction wheels, or extreme offroad wheels, but I can't seem to get enough info on what it is I'm looking for.
I need a full tire spec and supplier, for rims and tread. In other words, I need to take an answer and use it to go buy an appropriate tire. Anyone?
Answers:
for what purpose are there in the USA big barrels of water on highways?
I have been selling tires since 1978 and the reason no one has answered your question is you need to make it in terms we use every day -tread width, tire diamiter and wheel size .all that graphing and measuring is fine but it is not nessarry (i cant spell ,sorry) now i see that you say the wheel size is not that important either so it really boils down to section width and diameter ,right ? now if this is a one off concept car ,cool you may have to make some faux -tires from a solid substance, but if you are thinkinking of mass producing a vehicle with 40 inch tires -FORGET IT -rubber is in short supply now and 40 inch tires do NOT mount ,store or ship easily ! I am sure your idea is great and will make you rich but it is not realistic-sorryheres one that comes close
