Im taking my driving test very very soon and I know I'll pass, but i think my dad might give me his civic because he said he might give it to me after i passed my drivers license test, so should i mod it like put a body kit and stuff like that, I'm not really trying to race it but I just want it to look good while im driving it..any ideas

Avoid putting any company logos on the car.

And dress up the interior.

find out if the car is going to keep on running,,you don't want to invest too much $$, if the engine is not going to last...Once you add a body kit, you probably have to replace the tires and rims, to match some of the enhancement..
