Have you noticed that all new cars the headlights look evil. They all seem to be mean...?
Typically you should use 4WD only on slick roads or you will cause damage to your drive train components. But 4H should be used on slick roads up to normal highway speed. 4L should only be used in extreme offroad circumstances for example if you are stuck in deep mud or snow. 4L should never be used on dry pavement as it will destroy your drive train. When using 4L you should not exceed 35MPH nor should you be using overdrive but if your in 4L you shouldn't be going that fast in the first place. If its raining and you are not on a paved road feel free to use 4H, but unless you are stuck or you are pulling someone out that is stuck you should avoid 4L. 4WD was never meant to get you farther into a situation, it was meant to get you out of what you got into not to go into 4WD and then go farther.2WD - normal everyday onroad driving
4H - slick roads, wet offroad use, added traction in snow
4L - extreme offroad use, self recovery (stuck in mud, snow, sand etc.) or to pull someone else out that is stuck. NOT TO EXCEED 35MPH.
What is a fair price to charge for tinting the windows of a 4-door car?
2WD is for everyday driving, 4WD hi is for highway driving in adverse road conditions,4 Low is for offroad slow driving in very rough/slippery conditions.if you,ll look in the owners manual ,,it tells a better description of when to use these gears,,it will also help answer other questions you might have on the subject,,good luck hope this help,s.
Any tips for backing in parking?
Because of the added fuel consumption of running 4wd.. I only use 4wd when I have to...Some 4wd systems wear out fairly easy.. the more you use 4wd the more it will cost in repairs and replacements.. eventually it all adds up in the long run...
I would only use 4 low if I were stuck in a rut or trying to pull out a tree stump... otherwise 4 high is what you would use on and off road for maximum traction !
Is it worth it to put a supercharger in a car that has an automatic transmission?
you almost never need 4wd low the low is the gearing ratio take my jeep for example i am in 2wd 99% of the time in rain dirt and even light mud if i need 4wd i use 4wd hi that mean i am keeping the same gear ratio as 2wd but if i am pulling something heavy or rock crawling or going up a real steep hill i use low which is geared loweri never use any 4wd hi or lo when i am going faster that 25 mph you handling changes and it is hard on the engine
so unless i really need it i dont use it
dont forget just cause you have 4 wheel drive doesnt mean you have 4 wheel stop
