Im gettin Limo tint on my car and its registered in WI but I live in IL, am I gonna get crap from IL cops?

Question:
My car is in my grandpas name who lives in WI, I live in IL and am getting Limo 5% tint which is illegal in WI and IL this weekend. Im rarely if ever in WI so im not worried about their tint laws but since I live in IL where 5% tint is illegal im wondering if im going to be an easy target for the Chicagos finest. From what ive heard is that IL cops cannot enforce other states laws in IL. So since I have WI plates would I get a ticket.......or not? Any help would be appreciated.

I ran into this same problem between Alabama and Florida....
Lived in Flordia, car registered in Alabama. Was traveling thru, got pulled over, cop would not hear ANY explanation whatsoever. Had to go to court, pay a fine, and remove the tint. It is not worth it, just go a little lighter.

Note: I am glad they told you that, but you never know when you may get some punk cop with a chip on his shoulder. Just because a couple of different stations told you that, you still could get the shaft....Good Luck to you

What do you think of these pictures?

To answer your question yes if they pull you over, they can give you a ticket. If the vehicle is registered to a state where that sort of tint is legal then it is ok. but as in this case where it is illegal in both states than you will get a ticket.

Which is the most environmentally family car on the market?

anymore any cop will pull you over if they can't see you in the car, it is against the law that they can't see you because they don't know if you have a gun or not.

should I bring my car battery inside for the night?

well as long as you have both front windows and the windshield not tinted beyond the legal limit they should leave you alone or if they do bother you tell them you bought it that way and they should let you off with a warning. I grew up in IL and know all to well the police there look for reasons to give out tickets like they are going out of style. As long as the car is licensed in another state that states laws apply to your car not IL. For instance if one state says you can drive at age 14 and you are licensed in that state then another can not say that same person can't drive in their state because the legal age there is 16... Keep it legal in Wisconsin and registered in Wi. and it will be legal in IL

HELL YES! and if u live in IL then you know that the illinois troopers dont wanna hear ****!! my advice, ask what the legal tint is over there on the front doors, i think its 20%, cause they'll stop you, give you a shitload of tickets, search the car, then make you take that **** off...
